Saturday the 11th.May, saw the running of the 2013 South Coast Kneeboard Competition. Held at Kiama`s Surf Beach, with full support, and sponsorship of the Kiama Tourism Board, and Kiama Council. Fantastically supported by Surfing NSW, with paid Head Judge and Professional Judges, who worked tirelessly till sundown, to complete the contest.
The Waka crew were again the backbone of the contest, setting up, running the bbq and raffle, pulling down,and packing up.
Well done to the committee, and all helpers..We had 13 of the 32 surfers were from the South Coast, this was a great reflection on not only our club, but on the draw that south coast waves have on our surfers.

Once again the trophies were made by Thomas Creative..this year, they were made of laminated wood, with waves and logos, laser etched into them. They were one of the most original and well designed trophies i have ever seen, congrats to Chayne for organising the sponsorship, with Thomas Creative,  and  for making the trophies....enquiries to chayne@thomascreative.com.au

Smurf won a drill set in the raffle ( only because Robbie Rennie, put the VIBE into the raffle draw.


Another one of the standout events of the whole comp, was the Micro Groms. It was great to see all  the mums and dads, out in the waves with the young, future stars of our sport...
